LogView is a logfile and text file viewer program for OS/2 and eCS. LogView can trace files in realtime and is very quick. It can be used during program development to disply debug output or to show any other text file or logfile created by any arbitrary program.

Command line usage of LogView:
logview [/cMyConfig[.cfg]]

Sample:
logview c:\os2\install\current.log
logview c:\os2\install\current.log /cMyLog1

You can enter the name of your text file as the first parameter on the command line or insert the name in the parameter entry field of the WPS programm settings.

You also can use a file that do not exist. LogView starts then and waits until the file becomes created.

Installation:

You can eiter use the .WPI file together with WarpIn or the .ZIP file to install manualy. Use WarpIn V0.9.12 or higher or create a new directory and unzip the .ZIP file into this directory. If you wish to start LogView from other directories, the LogView directory has to be in the LIBPATH variable. Alternativ you can move the .DLL files to a directory listed in your LIBPATH variable. If you wish to start LogView only via a program object on your desktop, you can set the working directory to the .EXE directory, and the program parameter to your log file. In that case, no LIBPATH entry is needed.

LogView is Freeware. The .DLL files delivered together with LogView are not freeware. It is only allowed to use this DLL files together with LogView. Distribution and usage of the .DLL files togeter with other programs are not allowed. Neither it is allowed to distribute modified packages of LogView nor to distribute parts of the LogView package separate.

We do not give any warranty for harms LogView might eventually cause.
